City History

The area that would become present day Deephaven was first settled in the mid-1800s. Because of the lakeside location, hotels and resorts were built, but unfortunately, during the end of the 19th century a fire destroyed these hotels, which prompted a major transition for the area.  The city was officially incorporated in 1900, and through present day, Deephaven became a primarily residential area, filled with beautiful homes and a spectacular community atmosphere. Today, Deephaven is home to approximately 4,000 residents.
